EP's/Brainbuster - Demo
"The UK is currently producing some really amazing hardcore bands. Bands such as Gameover, No Dice, Rose Parade and Crosses are all gaining a good name for themselves in the underground scene. Brainbuster can now be added to this list of promising, up and coming UK hardcore bands. Coming from the North East, the band play aggressive hardcore punk, played at lightening speed.
The bands obvious influence would be Shark Attack, with tracks such as "Fake That" sounding so old school but incredibly fresh at the same time. The band also throw in a cover of SA's "Misery Loves Company" into their live set it seems. With this type of music it's very rare for a 5 track demo to have much diversity and this is the same with this one. All of the tracks stay below the two minute mark, with the bands style of no frills hardcore punk.
I think it's safe to say that Brainbuster aren't about to change anything in the hardcore scene. They need to get a few more shows going for this year and hopefully they will continue to grow. A well produced demo with quality tracks, "Bite The Curb" shows the promise that lies within this band. Nothing incredible, but certainly a demo that promises a lot for the future for this band
